However, this new guideline may affect the study of the students due to the following reasons:
■ Student will be absent from classes as he/she needs to go the Bureau of Immigration Office which
will take time.
■ The Bureau of Immigration may hold student’s passport for longer period of time due to the number
of applicants, which may result to misplacing and losing the passport.
■ Obtaining the passport from the Bureau of Immigration for some purposes like, taking a test
(IELTS/TOEIC), returning back home for emergency reasons, family matters, or health related
issues, will be difficult.
In order to alleviate these issues and help students avoid going to the Bureau of Immigration, we will impose
an additional fee of 300 pesos for every SSP transaction, and 500 pesos for every VISA EXTENSION
transaction effective August 19, 2019.
This additional fee will be used to pay for the faster processing of
students Special Study Permit (SSP) and Visa Extension.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
